  1. Hi
I was wondering of your past sightings around beamish, did you get out there alot?
At the moment im mainly around causey but im thinking of moving south, ive been thrre a few times but was just wondering if theres any hot spots.

  2. Hi, I used to go there quite often and found the area around Pockerley Pond at the southern end of Hedley Hall Fell a good spot, also Ousbrough Wood is worth a look though it is probably similar to Causey. Good birding.

  3. Cheers for that, do you know if crossbills have ever been spotted in beamish wood or anything out the ordinary? Ive noticed theres alot of pine in that area.

    1. Not to my knowledge but there's always a first time. Never saw anything special myself, but wouldn't be surprised if there's a Firecrest or Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in there somewhere!

    2. Now that would be nice.
Got tje area records of mark newsome
A goshawk, merlin, a few flycatchers were seen a few years back but not much else. Hopegully ill get something.
Its looks such a suitable area for some good birds.
      Cheers for the info
